Dr. Rafael Fonseca is a professor in the Division of Neonatology and a dedicated, long-standing leader of LAMAH. He served as president in 2017 and again in 2022 alongside Dr. Roy Riascos, helping guide the association’s return to activity following the pandemic, and has served as treasurer since 2023. Dr. Fonseca earned his medical degree from Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo, completed his pediatric residency and neonatology fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch, and received his MBA from the University of Houston in 2023. His continued leadership and commitment have made him one of LAMAH’s most valued and devoted members.
