On Saturday, February 28, 2026, representatives from the Latin American Medical Association (LAMAH) participated in the 14th Annual Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA) Southwest Regional Conference, hosted by the John Sealy School of Medicine at UTMB. The event took place from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Health Education Center (HEC) on the UTMB Galveston Campus.
During the conference, LAMAH took part in a roundtable discussion, staffed a booth exhibition, and delivered a keynote speaker presentation. The engagement provided an opportunity for the association to share insights, connect with medical students and professionals, and highlight ongoing efforts to support Latino representation and leadership in the medical field across the Southwest region.
