LAMAH Community Outreach Committee
The Community Outreach Committee is the heart of LAMAH’s mission to uplift and serve the diverse communities of Houston. We believe that every individual deserves access to trusted health information, culturally responsive education, and meaningful opportunities to take charge of their well-being. Our work brings medical professionals and community partners together to make that vision real.
What We Do
We build bridges between the medical community and the neighborhoods we serve by:
- Partnering with local organizations, schools, faith-based groups, and nonprofits
- Hosting health education events, screenings, and resource fairs
- Bringing evidence-based, culturally relevant health information directly to the community
- Creating safe, welcoming spaces for learning, dialogue, and empowerment
- Supporting initiatives that address health disparities across diverse and underserved populations
Our goal is simple: expand access, strengthen trust, and help families understand and navigate their health with confidence.
