Vice President

Dr. Monica L. Arango, M.D., F.A.A.P

Dr. Mónica Arango is a warm and dedicated general pediatrician and pediatric endocrinologist who sees every child as more than a patient — she sees their potential. Born and raised in Pereira, Colombia, she followed her dream of helping children by studying medicine at Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira, later completing her pediatrics training in Kansas and her endocrinology fellowship in Houston.

She currently serves as a Staff Physician at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth and UT Physicians Multispecialty Clinic in Katy, Texas, where she provides specialized care for children with diabetes, thyroid disorders, and growth concerns. Beyond the clinic, she works to improve healthcare access for underserved communities, both locally and internationally.

Passionate about teaching, Dr. Arango mentors medical students, residents, and fellows —  inspiring the next generation of physicians to practice with both skill and compassion.

Outside of medicine, she cherishes time with her husband and children, filling their days with wholesome meals, outdoor activities, and shared adventures. Whether cycling together, tending a small garden, or exploring new places, she lives what she teaches, making healthy, balanced living a joyful family habit.
