Erica Gonzalez Hattery, MD, MHA

Dr. Erica Gonzalez Hattery is a physician, healthcare executive, and innovator with over 18 years of experience in clinical care, research, and health system leadership. She earned her medical degree from Universidad El Bosque in Bogotá, Colombia, and completed a fellowship in Endocrinology at Baylor College of Medicine, where she led major diabetes research initiatives, including the GRADE Study and the Center for Atypical Diabetes.

As Director of Care Integration at Harris Health System, she developed data-driven strategies to improve preventive care and care coordination. She is also Co-Founder of Sandwych, a digital health startup focused on automating care management workflows.

Dr. Hattery is the Past President of the National Association of Latino Healthcare Executives – Greater Houston, where she championed leadership development and professional advancement for Latino healthcare professionals.

Appointed President of LAMAH in 2025, she now leads strategic initiatives to strengthen professional networks, celebrate excellence in medicine, and support emerging leaders across the healthcare sector. She holds a Master of Healthcare Administration from Texas Woman’s University and continues to drive innovation and performance improvement across diverse healthcare environments.
