Dr. Roy F. Riascos-Castaneda, MD, MBA, FACR

Tenured Professor of Radiology and Neurosurgery at McGovern Medical School, where he serves as Section Chief of Neuroradiology within the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Imaging. A graduate of Escuela Colombiana de Medicina in Bogotá, Colombia, Dr. Riascos completed his neuroradiology fellowship at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in 2005. He previously held a faculty appointment at UTMB Galveston and now directs the Center of Advanced Imaging Processing (CAIP) at Memorial Hermann Hospital System, advancing clinical innovation in neuroimaging.

Dr. Riascos is a recognized leader across multiple professional societies, including the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), the American Society of Neuroradiology (ASNR), and the Neuroradiological Society of Ibero Latin America (SILAN), where he currently serves as Secretary and Executive Committee Member. He is also a former President of the Latin American Medical Association of Houston (LAMAH) and has chaired key committees within the Texas Radiological Society. Board-certified in Diagnostic Radiology and Neuroradiology, Dr. Riascos continues to shape the field through education, innovation, and global collaboration.
